Haroon-ur-Rashid (ASC)

Advocate, Supreme Court of Pakistan, President, SCBAP

The forum of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) is a thriving intellectual community that has multiple and vital roles to play in a lawyer’s life as well as for the nation. SCBA is not only a source of benefit for the welfare of its members and families but also acts as a catalyst for legal reform and a guardian of the legal system and independence of the judiciary and the Bar. My vision is to make SCBA a true reflection of our legal community’s expertise and intellect. I want SCBA to be in the vanguard for the promotion and defence of the principles of democracy, rule of law, good governance, social justice and the dignity of all persons. My main objectives shall remain: – (i) Maintenance and defence of the integrity and independence of the Bar and the Judiciary; (ii) Promotion and advancement of Legal Education, Advocacy and Jurisprudence.

Malik Zahid Aslam Awan (ASC)

Advocate, Supreme Court of Pakistan, Secretary, SCBAP

I have ambitions to deliver as under Supremacy of Constitution and Law and its implementation in Pakistan. Struggle for the protection of Constitutional Fundamental Rights of People of Pakistan. To establish pleasant relations between Bar and Bench. To make material progress in long awaited “Housing Project” for the members, at Islamabad. To struggle for priority based “facility/services” for our members, at principle seat as well as at Registry Branches of Supreme Court of Pakistan. To concentrate, to evolve a workable solution in the matters of filing/fixation of cases, which will be in benefit of our professional working before the August Supreme Court of Pakistan. I am fully convinced that a better “Lawyers’ Community” means a better “Pakistan”. Looking forward for your kind consideration to join hands with me, for the best future of our SCBAP.
